This Vibrant Public Swimming Pool Gives NYC’s Concrete Jungle Some Much-Needed Color

For the fifth year, the pool at the Manhattan Park residential complex on New York City’s Roosevelt Island has been given a lively look for summer. The annual installation, “Pop-Up Pool Party,” is a collaboration between Citi Habitats New Developments, design firm K&Co and Pliskin Architecture that taps artists to transform the pool deck. This year the team worked with local artist Elizabeth Sutton on the colorful design.
